I am taking an avi file recorded with dazzle dvc100 from a web cam. The video is fine and plays well on my computer. The file I make for web use is fine. When i burn to dvd using studio 12 there is no sound on stand alone player. If I take video from my hi 8 tapes record them the same way and burn them to dvd they work in the stand alone player. I even took sound from my home videos and replaced the suspect sound files and they worked also . how can i figure out what is wrong with this video sound file .

  2. welcome to the forum!

it may be studio 12 doen't handle whatever audio format you are saving to with the dvc100. try setting it to 16bit 48khz pcm wav for best compatibility with various programs, especially the dvd types.

you could post screen capture images of gspot or mediainfo of the source avi and a vob from studio 12 if you wanted. they might help determine what went wrong.

  4. sorry but there must be something wrong with studio 12 if it can't handle pcm wav. i'd try some other encoder. "the film machine" and henc might work.
