Hi
I currently have a site which is owned by Forumotion, but as it's restricted I'm wanting to set up my own.
The trouble is in finding a reliable and cost-effective webhost that supports well and has really good, modern features and tools for a great look. I'd prefer to keep costs down if possible.
Someone suggested Hostpapa?
Thanks if anyone can help.

I use GoDaddy and HostGo for my personal Web sites. GoDaddy is cheap, cheap, cheap and relatively good customer service. Hostgo is very reasonable, they were my first provider and I'm more familiar with their control panels, so I tend to prefer that one. I've been using HostGo for about 8 years(?) and GoDaddy for 5. Logevity is pretty important to me. With both companies, I have emailed questions at 2 a.m. and received an answer in 20 minutes or less. I don't know if they provide that kind of service all the time, but I've been amazed by the support I've received.

I use www.afmu.com
I hate GoCrappy -
What kind of traffic do you expect? A forum consumes a lot of CPU which is the one thing the cheap hosts don't list or will give you vague answers. If you expect 10 to 20 people to be clicking around the cheap plans will most likely not support that kind of traffic.
As for host I use http://jaguarpc.com they have cheap plans but are more geared towards professional hosting with VPS's and deicated servers. Support is outstanding but I don't know what to expect from their shared plans.
Anybody else readng this looking for a high powered plan without the hassle of running a server look no further:

Hi, thanks for replying.
My site currently has about only 20 regular members, but is increasing. -
