    Hi,

Just picked up a PVR-250 and installed it into my Vista Ultimate machine. I found some drivers that seem to work with vista.

Can someone recommend best capture software that will work when I connect my VCR to the card?

  2. Any capture software that works will give you the same quality (assuming the same settings are used) The MPG encoding is done on the card, all the capture software is doing is putting the data in a file on the hard drive. WinTV2000, WinTVCap, BeyondTV, SageTV...

  4. I used to use WinTVCap all the time with my PVR-250 and Windows XP Pro. It worked great as a background (near zero CPU usage) capture app. It's probably not what the OP is interested in though, being a command line application.
