    Hi guys,

I am currently using a cheap video capture box USB 2.0 which I got from Ebay for £15 quite some time ago to capture footage from my PS3. I have recently got a brand new PC and it has Vista Home Premium installed and the capture device simply doesn't like Vista and there is no real driver support at all.

In which case I am looking to upgrade it either internal PCI or another USB 2.0 device. I have been looking around for a decent priced card that has hardware encoding onboard but I can't seem to find anything within my price range that will do the job. It's not for professional use in any way so I would like nice quality but it doesn't have to be perfect. I am looking to spend between £20 - £40 for this card and if you could possibly point me in a good direction for it I would be most thankful.

It's my understanding that some of the games you UK guys have actually display the video as PAL60. You will need a capture card that specifically supports that and there are not many. If you search, we've had posts in this forum about this subject this year and you can find some information in those older posts. I don't think you're going to be able to get anything that supports PAL60 capture in your price range - sorry.

There is a way around the PAL60 problem over here so it's ok. My current cheap card does PAL60 totally fine with the use of a 3rd party program so thats all sorted
