Hey when your'e 0-7 a beat up qb who unretired is better than nothingHopefully the guy has something left.
I kinda feel bad for Kitna and Orlovsky. They weren't horrible or anything. They just weren't good enough to win consistently - or for this season win at all....
I also feel for Stanton. I don't know if the guy will ever play a down of football as a Lion if Culpepper works out well....

Well apparently he has to complete a physical today and then will be signed.
Actually the game against the Bears wasn't that bad. Sure they lost again but they at least looked like they weren't laying down and ready to die like most games....Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
He "retired" too soon anyway. Despite what Vikings fans would say the guy is a good QB, at least as good as many of those in the NFL currently. What he needs is to settle in with an offense and get comfortable, a luxury he's never really had. In Minnesota he was revered until he had a few bad games and then the stereotypical bad Vikings fans jumped all over him. What would have happened had the Packers got rid of Favre during those seasons he seemed to throw more picks than TDs?
Football teams these days need to stop being so fickle and responding to media/fan criticism instead of working through problems. The Lions have been working through problems for years now so they can change up their roster if they want.
As a born Cheesehead I was hoping the Lions would take the Bears yesterday while we were putting up a good fight against an unbeaten team. Despite the current standings I do think we're the strongest team in the NFC North. I'm really looking forward to meeting up with the Bears later this season to renew that rivalry. I respect the Lions more than the Vikings since the latter have such terrible fair-weather fans that don't deserve a team at all. However I'm still bitter about the Lions organization driving Barry Sanders to retirement too earlyFB-DIMM are the real cause of global warming -

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -
I would love for Culpepper to tell the secondary how he picks them apart. Somebody needs to let them in on the NFL's big secret: How to hose the Lions. Because the Lions don't know.
There are no problems - only chances to excel.
