Is there a way to convert DTS to like 2 channel or 5.1?

Hello, I am looking into buying the Russian R5 DVD for Quantum of Solace but apparently the English audio is only available in DTS and that is a problem since I don't have any proper DTS equipment. I was wondering if there's any programs that can convert the DTS?

Yeah, Russia is getting all these new movies like ASAP on DVD. Despite it not having English audio, I'm still buying the DVD for Max Payne.

They are (usually) real studio releases dropped out early to try to beat the pirates. They sell cheaply, but usually haven't got the same level of quality as the final studio releases.

From what I've read is that they are TCs put out by the studio.

They actually started doing this type of thing in Thailand at the beginning of the year to combat VCD piracy by releasing the film on DVD with just Thai Dubbing and selling it for the price of a real VCD which is around $5 US Dollars. I was psyched out and then bummed when I saw they had AVP:R on DVD but it wasn't in English.

Yeah, Max Payne doesn't have English audio but Quantum of Solace is listed that it does but in DTS form which is why I asked. I have the legal Thai R3 DVD for Godzilla : Final Wars and it was taken from a TC source like the R5 DVDs. It had Thai Dubbing and Japanese but it had the English speaking actors in the film dubbed over into Japanese

OrlandoEastwood - Ozon does NOT ship anything but books to the USA!!! I used to order DVDs from them until they stopped shipping DVDs to the USA about 2 years ago. Your Russian will have to be a LOT better than a PC translator to figure out how to order from Ozon, but once you try, you'll find out that they will refuse to ship to the USA. What happened the last time I tried is that you get an error during the process that isn't explained and only by contacting Ozon do they tell you that the problem is that they don't ship DVDs outside of Russia any more. According to DVD Beaver's website (this is an oddly named website focusing mostly on foreign films) Ozon still does not ship to the USA.

What the heck does "TC" mean that you guys keep talking about?

Yes, you can convert to AC3. It's a bit convoluted but if you search on the internet you can find guides for it. Unfortunately some of the tools you need are hard to find now. A program called tranzcode, if you can find it, would be very helpful for this.

Finally, if for some reason I am wrong and Ozon does now ship to the USA, please send me a private message and let me know. I know of no Russian DVD company on the internet that will ship to the USA. There are some US based companies that sell Russian films in the USA, but they NEVER sell Hollywood releases from Russia. They mostly only sell Russian films, but a few do sell the same old region 1 DVDs of Hollywood movies that you can buy at Amazon, etc.
