first i have to mention that i really don't know a lot about codecs and stuff.
however, i managed somehow to get it all working for me. a few days ago i had to reformat my
hdd and install windows again, and that's where my problems started

after installation of windows, i installed following (actual order):
    -combined community codec pack
    -divx pro & dr. divx
    -autogk

this was installed before, too. however, two things do not work.

PROBLEM 1: when i try to open subresync or submux, nothing happens.
PROBLEM 2: my favourite program, srt2bmp won't work; i make xsub, and when try to mux it with video, i get this:

    help please

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

If you had faithfully followed the forums on this site, you would have known that codec packs are pure poison. I suggest you reformat your hard drive again, reload Windows -- but this time do not load the codec pack. Whenever you find that there is a video that cannot be played on your computer without a certain codec, simply download that specific codec. Load only the codecs that are absolutely needed. No more codec packs -- ever!

My understanding is that Srt2bmp is just a tool for muxing subtitles into Divx files. Divx video files require the Divx codec.
