  1. I am looking to record a couple talk shows that are a couple hours each take out the commercials and put them on cds in mp3 format for my mp3 cd player.

I have found a couple programs one called Looprecorder and Cybercorder but before I try them I thought I would see if anyone had any experience with this.

Also I am going to see if there is a way to record songs off my Dishnetwork cd channels to mp3s. I don't have high speed internet to be able to get newer ones and the reciever has digital out.

    Thanks

  2. get a sound card with a digital input, and link the satellite reciever up to the sound card.

    Hi,

Have you looked at TOTAL RECORDER, it works by recording ANYTHING that comes through your soundcard. It records in Wav format, BUT you simply install the Blade mp3 encoder; then it will record in Mp3 format; at any level setting you wish. (music could be anywhere from 56 Kpbs (or lower) to 350 kpbs.) Total Recorder can set it to record Voice at lower Kpbs; plus you can set the bitrate at 44,000, (or any rate you wish.)

You can find total Recorder HERE =
    http://totalrecorder.com/

Just follow the instructions; they will tell you where to go to download the Mp3 encoder.
