  1. I wonder if there is any software that does the following:
    I have a private video.
I have another video not confidential.
I want a program to compare these videos and generate a file from which I can retrieve the video confidential from non-confidential.
    Thank you.

    Clarity is needed.

Are you talking about a video for a DVD? What do you mean by "compare these videos"-- bitrate, frame rate, fps, or something altogether different?

If you are authoring a DVD, then a "secret" video could be launched from a hard-to-detect menu command; but a savvy video person could find the video within the VIDEO_TS folder, if he were looking for it.

    What do you want?

  4. You can mark the video hidden by right-clicking on it, if the person has "show hidden files" enabled it will do no good though.

We need more info of what you want.

  5. Thanks for the replies.
    Let me be more clear.
Suppose I have a video in MPEG, AVI or other format and I want this video to be confidential.
I could encrypt it, but someone might ask me what it is the encrypted file and I would have to lie.
Then I thought of a better way to disguise the video:
A software that compared bit by bit the video file with other video out of suspicion and generates a file in any format, for example, txt.
Then I could delete the video confidential and could retrieve it with the same software from the video out of suspicion and the file generated by the software.

    Look up "Steganography".

  7. Maybe, but ...
Well-remembered friend, but I'd rather that the video used to conceal the secret stay intact for further disguise.
The key would be the file created.

You still haven't said how the video is going to be stored and/or what sort of playback device will be used. If it is for DVD, there is a way to create "Easter Egg" hidden video clips. If it is stored on the computer, you can change the file name, removing the extension (.avi, .mpg, .flv, or whatever), then replacing the file extension when you want to watch the video.

Until we know more info, it is hard to provide instructions.

You're making this sound very suspicious. Trying to hide porn from your mommy?

I agree with the "mommy" comment. If you are an adult, you can simply say "It's confidential." without lying.

This sounds suspicious to the point of criminal.

  10. I am studying programming and would like to develop a kind of software that does not exist yet.
    Then came this idea.
Does anyone really thought of it yet?

  13. Thanks to everyone who helped me.
I see that there really is no program that does this.
I declare that my question was resolved

You've not really explained clearly, with examples, what you really want to do. It may be resolved for you, but without us all understanding what you got out of it, it certainly isn't "resolved" for us, and nearly feels like a waste of time.

I understand if English may not be your first language, but I bet you could get help with that and explain further...
That's kind of how it works around here.
