I am not sure if this is a good place to mention it...
If someone is interested in the Philips DVDR3506, great deal for $108 (considering it has a tuner too!) at circuit city now, online only purchase though.

I'm sure there are more qualified folks on this board that can answer this with far more detail. But my opinion is that this is not really a bad deal.
