    Hi,

I've tried again and again to rip DVD to an AVI that'll play on the 360 but they always skip and don't work.

Can someone PLEASE help me out by telling what software and what settings I need to easily get this working?

    Many thanks

Sounds like a media issue, not something else.

How do you rip and convert now?

    Try AutoGK or FairUse Wizard.

Looks pretty darn good! Will see if this has the answer!

    Got another question though (sorry!)

Just copied a DVD to HD with DVD Decrypter and when I load it in XviD4PSP I can't seem to find any subtitle files to load!?

avi.NET can be good as well as AutoGK

I would say those are the two "big guns" when it comes to DVD to XviD/DivX

Please note that the XboX 360 can handle h.264 video which looks much better than XviD/DivX could ever hope to look. The XboX 360 also supports VC-1 which also looks much better than XviD/DivX so I would suggest trying one of those two formats instead.

I know meGUI and XVID4PSP are both good for h.264 and you can create a MP4 file. However it must be 2.0 channel audio. If you go with VC-1 then you can use 5.1 WMA and for that I believe most use TMPGEnc Xpress although I've never done that myself as I prefer h.264 (I own a PS3 and it supports h.264 with 5.1 audio which sadly the XboX 360 does not support).
