The Good News: there is currently on eBay a Pioneer int'l. DVDR model that has everything you listed, and much more. It seems to be new, and from one of those 220 appliance outfits.
The Bad News: they're asking $1,200. for it !! Also, a buyer in the U.S. would most likely not get a (usable) Pioneer warranty on it, but rather some substitute warranty from the dealer.
When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form.

  3. Why do you need HDMI? The picture doesn't look any better using the HDMI on my Toshiba recorder. If anything the picture is slightly better using component and letting the TV do the upconversion. YMMV.

samijubal, i need the HDMI only for a stupid reason....... my tv and all the other equipment (sat reciver, DVD recorder, Dvico tvix (multimedia HD) are at 5 meters of distance, separated by a plasterboard structure. all the cables needed for the connection runs trough this structure. Apparently, the one i used until now is dead!!! (scart terminal from the dvd rec to composite). Fortunately, when i built it, i placed more cables than i needed, so i have a spare hdmi cable that i can now use!!
(btw .... all cables are connecter to a yamaha ysp-4000, then to the tv, a sharp lc42xl2e)

anyway.... i need now an advise:
i found those 2 dvd rec that seems to have all i need at a good price:
    - PHILIPS - DVDR3595H
    - SAMSUNG - DVDHR757

Any suggestion on wich one seems to be better?
    thank

btw ... i live in italy.

In Singapore, all dvd players and recorders are region free. Sony 780 and Pioneer 560 both with 160gb hard drive cost about SIN$499/- or thereabouts. The Pioneer come with auto voltage.

If anyone need help in getting one, I don't mind helping out.
