Download it with save2pc or firefox with downloadhelper and then convert the flv with super, xvid4psp, etc.

try the 'portable video' forum further down the page

dl mediia info or gspot, and use it to get the specs on any sample videos that came with your zen

then use super or vdub to set to those specs

The Zen (I have the 4gb version, just purchased) will play XviD/Divx and MP3 videos. However, there is a problem with losing audio sync after seeking!

I have found however though, WMV with WM9 audio and video will play fine, look good and has no issues with syncing.

The device does appear to be able to play WMV without ANY hitches (will post back with more results) so I am re-encoding Live Free or Die Hard in WMV.

    Software used:
    DVDShrink https://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVD_Shrink
    DGIndex https://www.videohelp.com/tools/DGMPGDec
    AVISynth https://www.videohelp.com/tools/Avisynth
    Nic's WMEnc https://www.videohelp.com/tools/WMNicEnc

    1) After the DVD is ripped (DVDShrink), I used DGIndex to create a D2V file, and extract audio to a WAV.
    2) I create an AVS (Avisynth) script which opens the video (D2V) and audio (WAV), muxes them, does a smooth deinterlace, and resizes to the device (320X240).
    3) I use Nic's WMEnc WMV encoder software to access WMV CODECs to encode, THIS is the only program I could find that would open AVISynth (AVS) files, AND... It appears to work slick as a whistle.

WMEnc is necessary to be able to encode the WMV audio AND video in WM9 CODEC! You CANNOT mix WM9 video and MP3 audio or the device (and likely any other device) will not be able to play it.

For opening the FLV, you should be able to use DirectShowSource in an AVISynth script, and encode to WMV with Nic's.

I can view FLVs in my Zoom Player, so DirectShow should work.

Or you could just use this:

    http://www.vconversion.com/

Not sure what file type Creative's use, but this site covers most file types.
We'll be right back after these messages from Binford!
