I have some videos in both wmv and avi files. The audio is too low even with full volume.
Is there any way to encode and increase the volume of those videos ?

  2. What kind of audio?

If MP3, then MP3Gain can increase the volume. If AC3, install the AC3Filter and adjust its settings (set the Preset to Loud). Neither requires reencoding.
