I have a small business and want to setup a DVR for 24hr surveillance.
Has anyone on this board have any experience with any reliable s/w and capture cards? I don't really need to have great video quality(Mpeg1) would do but I am wondering how would you limit the file size. I had a time lapse VCR before that recorded 24hrs but the heads gave out after
1 yr. It's alot cheaper to replace a HD than a new TL VCR which costs $350.00.
Thanks

I have had some success with ATI AIW cards set to 1 frame per sec, 40 gig HD held 2 weeks worth. New 7.5 supports time lapse and motion detect, haven't tried these yet. More than 1 camera you will need a multiplexor.
