I have Philips DVP3142 DVD-player. I just wonder, that should i keep the audio Down Sampling "ON" (48kHz) or turn it "OFF" (96kHz)? I use coaxial digital connection to my receiver. 2.0 setup.

It depends on whether or not your receiver is capable of decoding a 96KHz signal. I don't know. It's not wrong to leave it on, but theoretically you should get slightly better sound from turning it off IF your receiver can accept 96 KHz input audio. You might not be able to tell any difference though between leaving it on and turning it off.
