I have a video at 696X368 and another at 640X272. I'm trying to make a dvd out of them and neither is 4:3 or 16:9 and when I use windows vista dvd maker it always seems to stretch the size in some way every thing looks taller. The size is simular to widescreen, but after I make the DVD its square like a normal tv. I need it to look like im watching a widescreen. I tried both options in the set up 4:3 and 16:9 and neither work. How can I burn a dvd and keep the size of the video the same even if there needs to be a black bar on top and bottom I dont care? I just dont want the ratio size to change. Any help is appreciated.

    Use FitCD

This will help you to properly resize and the end result is an AviSynth AVS script. So you will need to install AviSynth.

You can now use the AviSynth AVS script with a MPEG-2 DVD spec encoder that accepts such scripts. One popular choice due to the fact that it works very well and is freeware is an encoder known as HCenc or simply HC.

Here is a link to a thread where I discuss how to properly use FitCD:

    1.) https://forum.videohelp.com/topic296341.html#1487285

    2.) https://forum.videohelp.com/topic316333.html

I actually decided to give you two links. The first link has my simple mini-guide on how to use FitCD whereas in the second link I take things a step further and show how to take the script and convert it using HCenc etc.

  3. Or you can "cheat" and use a converter that automatically resizes for you,
such as DVD Flick. btw you don't specify the input video type. That makes
    a difference.
