NEC NDH80 Gone B&W

I have a NEC NDH80 DVD Recorder/HDD Combo player, and last night out of the blue the signal it is sending to the TV is black and white. I can't seem to get it back to colour, after turning on and off again, uplugging at the wall, making sure all the cords are still in the right plug.

It is really quite annoying and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Verify the video setup. Sometimes output PAL to an NTSC TV or vice versa results in a B&W picture. Set the video output to match your TV (ie: PAL or NTSC)...don't use AUTO. AUTO will output the video in the same format as the source, which may not correspond to what your TV supports.
