hiya guys .
im going crazy with editors..... ive downloaded pinnacle studio 11 to write my dv cassets to dvd. and it says its not enabled for pal. so...... what the hell is it on about.
im getting so pi***d off with all this......all i want to do is put dv tapes onto dvds. i dont want to edit anything, add effects, have singing whales in the background or anything. and i dont want it to take 13 hours of rendereing to say in the final 3% " sorry but the programme has gone crazy and will be shut down"
please guys, save me.........
1, whats the easiest programme to use.
2, im capturing in avi format, should i convert it after to something else..... if so what and what prog to use.?
3, why is something so so simple so so impossibly infuriating.
sorry for rant ..
andy

DVavi to DVD without editing isn't too hard. you need an encoder to change DVavi to DVD spec mpeg-2 with ac-3 audio/or lpcm wav and you need an authoring program to package the mpeg-2 into vobs and ifos. and finally a burning app to put it on DVD
there are one shot wonders like convertxtodvd where you add the avi and click start. doesn't get much easier than that. there is an old free version listed you could try or they may have a 30 day free trial of the new one.
or get separate programs to do each function. look through the tools section listed on left of the page and try a few out. make sure to get imgburn no matter what for burning dvds it's the best no matter what price, even if it's free.--
