    Hi

I've created a DVD with 18 separate video files, which are on three menu pages (one main menu and two submenus).

I have an audio clip that plays behind each menu. The problem is that the audio clip restarts whenever a different menu page is selected. Since it is a single piece of music, I'd like it to play continuously whilst I'm in any of the menus, and only restart whenever a video file finishes and returns to the menus.

    Is this possible?

    thanks
    Chris

Unfortunately the DVD specification doesn't allow for this. No authoring tools can do it, and if you you watch commercial discs carefully, you will notice that they do not do it either. They do use some fancy tricks to hide it, including motion menus that use multiple cells to give a seamless change to the first menu, and varying the volume of any background music so changes don't seem to abrupt. Other than that, you are pretty much stuck.

Thank you - if it's not possible I guess I can stop clicking around the menus looking for the correct option!

    thanks
