  1. I'm going to start riding the bus next week. Yes it's almost two additional hours doing so (one hour extra each way), but the gas savings will be tremendous.

I have a Nokia N800, and am thinking that would be useful for playing my anime and captured TV shows. But I can't seem to find anything (yes, I have googled) that says what is the best format to convert to for playback on an N800. Am also trying to see how much I can fit into the two gig card I have for it, so compression with decent quality is "better" than full quality

Anyone out there doing this who has some recommendations?

    Thanks in advance!

What format does it support? If h264 video then use it!

  3. Well, the format thing is the problem I'm having. It states that it supports AVI (but not which codecs), 3GP, and MPEG-1. I know I don't want MPEG-1, and 3GP I suspect isn't much better. So I suspect AVI is the container of choice - but again, WHICH CODEC will it use? Most of the stuff I've been able to find is folks saying that it doesn't deal well with DIVX. I did find a tool called MediaConverter that was designed for the precursor to the N800 (the 770), but the files it produces only work on the N800 if I allow it to clip the frame - which is kind of bad when you're watching stuff with subtitles

Hopefully someone on here has an 800 or at least know what will work!
