    could anybody tell me what is a positioning error on nero6?

    This may be caused by a hardware fault, or a firmware upgrade may be needed. This is what NERO says about this error message.

    Basically, the laser isn't tracking properly over the media. It could be hardware, media, or maybe Nero itself. Likely one of the first two.

    Wow. I didn't think it was possible. An Nero error message that almost makes sense by itself. Usually Nero would just simply say something like "Positioning error" and leave it to you to figure out what that means.

    However, the use of "medium" is arguably wrong. Since you're only looking at a single disc and "medium" is (unfortunately in my opinion as I pathologically hate Latin derived plurals in English) accepted as a plural form of "media", it should say "media" and not "medium". So points off for grammar to Nero, but at least this error message has more helpful info than most of them do.
