I have a bunch of VHS tapes that I would like to convert to DVD but when I run it through my video camera to my PC it won't let me because it's a copyrighted tape. I don't want to buy dvd's for movies I already own. I know...I'm a cheap SOB but I've been out of work for quite awhile and can't afford to pay attention.

Thanks in advance for any info,

    Pete

try using video capture hardware, like the cheap DX2 Express, to connect your vcr a/v out directly to your pc.
