Here my job, using MeidaCoder to convert .rmvb 2 .avi files:
Original .rmvb
Target .avi
The trancoded file .avi having problem with audio and video sync.
Very disturbing! Need your help.

I've had better luck with RMVB conversion using VirtualDub Mod and Avisynth: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=289872

Yup! Got that one long time ago! very useful when combining VirtualDubMod and Avisynth. And script file .avs goes well with latest VirtualDub
Finding MediaCoder more convenient, just small problem with video $ audio synced.
Hope to Get it solved soon. -
Wild guess is the framerate change. You may have to do it in two passes. Convert first with MediaCoder, then demux, adjust the audio and remux in the avi where the tools are better.
