  2. As I can remember the d2v project is a DVD2AVI project file. It can be encoded with Tmpgenc.

Smartripper ripper up the DVD to your HD and DVD2AVI make a d2v file of the VOB file.

  3. Please read Sefy's nebiew guide (link to the left under How To | Author). Basically:

    1) Rip DVD to HD. This generates VOB files.
    2) Use DVD2AVI on VOB files. This generates D2V (video) and wav (audio) files.
    3) Load D2V and wav files in TMPGenc. Encode
    4) Burn MPEG file

Sefy's guide is excellent. Screen shots and detail step-by-step directions.

  5. well to get it you must have version 2.41 and create index file but if you are ripping a NTSC movie you better go wit DVD2Avi becuase SmartRipper can only make the d2v file as a PAL fps

  6. I'm having same problems.

Smartripper makes a .d2v file, which works in TMPEG no problem. But tryed every format in smartripper to make a audio file that works with TMPEG, tried most stream processing settings ?.

Why add this feature to Smartripper if TMPEG do'nt like it.

Or is there some way of doing it so TMPEG see's both video and audio from one rip from Smartripper.

Or just go back to the safe route of DVD 2 AVI for both.

    Enjoy ! 8)

  7. TMPGEnc does have some problems with the D2V created by SR, but i've seen that the old 12a opens it with no problem.
You might want to try to increase the priority of the DVD2AVI.VFP in TMPGEnc, it could help make it open the D2V
