I placed an order with Newegg for some Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. I ordered these:

To be honest, I fully expected them to be made in India, but since I have used their Made in India discs and they've been OK for me, I was OK with that. They came in one of the new blue and pink wrappers known to be used for Made in India DL discs. I was shocked to see on the packaging that it said "Made in Singapore". So while I cannot personally guarantee that if you order this media that you won't get India made discs, it seems that Verbatim is still using Singapore for some of the 8x-10x DL discs. Previously Singapore made DL media was only known to be in the orange type wrapper in the picture at Newegg and the newer blue and pink wrappers were only used on Made in India discs. I just got these discs yesterday and placed my order on Monday, so Made in Singapore DL media is still being made.
By the way, if you want to pay dearly for them (about $2 US per disc), Verbatim is still making their ink jet printable DVD+R DL discs in Singapore. rima.com and various other media sources sell these. I ordered a box and they are still being made in Singapore.

I can't vouch for the 8x discs, but I was in future shop (kind of like best buy in canada), and they had the new label spindles, with made in singapore discs, and bunch of old labeled ones (MII, which have been there forever, i guess people just don't want them ). For the last while all their new stock, even new labels were MII, so big batch of MIS must of just come through. So they must still be making them at both plants. ). They've also changed the disc design, the discs are lighters, the surface is shinier, hopefully they still burn just as good
