Probably not. Divx playback depends on a special chip added to the player that decodes the Divx video. Most DVD players don't have this chip. Unless your player says that it can play Divx, there is nothing you can do to make this player play Divx. If it plays Divx but you can't see the subtitles, that is a different question than what you asked. Some DVD players that play Divx do not support any subtitle character sets except Latin and Cyrillic. Also, all subtitle formats are not support. SRT is usually the best subtitle format to use.

We get posts all the time from the Middle East from guys who bought DVD players that won't play Arabic subtitles in Divx. I say again that usually only Latin and Cyrillic character sets are supported. If you bought the DVD player in Iran, ask the company that sold it about this. If you bought it another country, then it probably does not have support for Arabic subtitles. If the player does not have support for Arabic subtitles, there is nothing you can do.

If the problem is occurring on multiple DVD's, then you are likely having hardware issues (ie: the DVD player is faulty and needs to be repaired or replaced). If the problem only occurs on a single (or few) DVD's, then you will need to figure out what the discs have in common (manufacturer, region, etc.).
