I have the Pannasonic DMP BD-30 hooked up to my Onkyo 605 Receiver and then to my Toshiba 1080P LCD. On some bluray movies with some scenes, I experience video noise (sort of artifacts). Also it kinda seems like when I first viewed the Panny at the store it appearred more sharper than how I have it at home! Is it because with some of scenes it's the way the director shot it or maybe my settings need adjusting?

Every film transfer is different, some have more grain than others.
Does your Panny or Toshiba have noise reduction settings?
Try this:connect the player directly to the TV to rule out the Onkyo. -
I did every adjustment with both units. The movies that are more noticable at some scenes are the ones that are recorded with MPEG-2. Are movies at VC-1 clearer?
