Hope this is the right place to post this. I burnt an AVI file on a CD that plays fine on my computer but on my stand alone DVD player it jitters, I still have the AVI file on my laptop and was wondering if there is anything relatively simple I can do to it to fix this issue so I can watch it on my tv.

jittery, jumps, jerky, stutters, choppy, garbled - I don't know what else to call it. It doesn't freeze, so I don't believe it's a media problem, using quality recommended media. I have a few with the same problem. They play start to finish with the problem, a person could probably watch it but it's mighty hard on the eyes.

Neither the original file or the 3 CDs I made do this on my computer, it is just on my standalone DVD player which usually plays AVI files I have put on video CDs.

Yes, "jittery, jumps, jerky, stutters, choppy, garbled..."

I've had a somewhat similar problem with only one specific movie. It plays fine on PC but not on my DVD player, which otherwise plays AVIs (DivX/XviD) fine.
