  1. Lately i have found that when i goto a movie site to download the l8est trailers to see what the film is like i have found that the movie trailer is protected from being saved and also is not stored in the disc cache so i cant retrive it.
    Why?
Do the idiots at the movie companyies think we can stretch the trailer out to a 90 min dat file and sell it?
It is stupid because in the long run know one will bother downloading them.
On a 56k modem it takes other an hour to download some of them only to be able to watch it once.
And if your a movie buff who likes his mates to see whats coming out i dont think your m8es will hang around an hour to see the trailer download again.
The worst company for this is disney/buena vista.

IS thier a way to get round the media key in Quicktime to be able to save these trailers?
If you manage to get hold of one of these trailers from ur disk cache and try and convert in Tmpenc it comes up with an illigal floating point error.

Can anyone help with this problem.

    Thanks

  2. SImple solution..upgrade quicktime to pro version. That allows you to save .mov files. My experiences have found that you cant copy these files out of the cache usuually as the file is locked whilst in use by the browser. soon as you leave the page, the file is deleted. I have found that some of the newer ones cant be converted in Tmpegenc...may have something to do with newer 5.0 encoding..dont know..but its only some...
