Juts wondering if DVDx can be used to convert the VOB files on your hard drive that have been originally ripped by SmartRipper? (instead of using DVD2AVI and TMPEGenc)

Yup, just make sure you also ripped the IFO file, then use that to load the VOB files into DVDx.

DVD2AVI is the solution for encoders that do not support VOB, like Panasonic / Xing / TMPGEnc, for programs that support it like Flask, DVDx, DVD2MPG, you need to have your DVD's IFO file, cause that tells them the information of your movie (languages/subtitles...)
