    I can rip a chapter from a DVD using DVD Decrypter and then use Videora iPod Converter to convert the chapter for an iPod. However, I want to edit part of that chapter out to delete some applause and audience noise after the song is finished. How do I go about that? Is there any software for editing the VOB file? Or some way to edit the .MP4 file? Any help would be appreciated.

    You can import VOB's with virtualdubmod and do simple editing (like splicing parts, etc...)

    or

    avidemux has native support for mp4 and can do simple edits like vdubmod
