    OK, searched the forums, installed/confirmed VB, tried with DEP on and off, still getting the "failed to register" issue. Any ideas?

    Update: it installed. One of two things worked: updated .NET via Windows Update, also tried checking "Just Me" on the install options. In any case, all is well.
