Hack Code for JVC SRDVD-100U

Does someone own this player and turned it region free?
The hack I found on this website does not work for my unit. Am I doing something wrong?

It says:
Goto SETUP MENU, then PRESS SLOW < (or alternatively <> together), then 4, 6, 4, 6 and the Region Code should appear.

All I can see is "INVALID" when pressing any of these buttons in the SETUP MENU. I could never see the Region Code, nor could I change it, nor is my unit codefree.

Not all players can be unlocked. Any known codes will be in the DVD Hacks section.

Manufacturers sometimes change firmware and the "hacks" stop working. The only solution for this is to see if someone has a new hack for the new firmware. Also, I have seen some instructions that were poorly written and what it says to do is not quite right, but close. You might need to press SLOW and < at the same time or perhaps even SLOW <> at the same time. You might try variations on the instructions and maybe you will be lucky.
