Greetings:
I just finish transfering all my personal VHS tapes (wedding, engagement, music show etc) to DVD using a regular VHS player hook up to a Spectroniq SDR205 (looks identical to a Protron DVR-100) stand alone DVD Recorder. All DVD recorder settings are default. I want to rip these DVDs to my PC Hard drive for safe keeping; however, DVDshrink v3.2 prompt a message "DVDshrink encountered an error and can not continue Invalid DVD navigation structure" and DVDfab HD decryptor v4.0.1.2 pops up a crash report window applet. Is this a normal behavior? Can someone please suggest other method, if there are any, to rip these DVDs?
Thanks for your time and Happy New Year to all of you.

After you answer aedipuss' question, and finalize if you haven't.

Are you using RW media? Or are you using +R or -R?

If all else fails try CDRoller (www.cdroller.com) as this resolved a similar situation a friend had, but don't start spending money until you have tried the solutions given by others.
