  1. OK, I was reading reviews on this all-in-1 tool and it looks to have just the level of control I need (not too much in the Authoring but I don't need much). Most of the reviews were NOT with DV material. So I'm wondering what those who use it for DV think? I'd be using mini-DV camcorder footage (home video) editing with some edit software then outputting to DV-Avi file, which I would input to ConvertXToDVD .

I currently use TMPGenc Express, TMPGenc DVD AUthor then Nero to burn. Any idea how the results would compare? I see many rate ConvertXToDVD output superior to TMPGenc but i don't see much on DV conversion as compared to TMPG.

    Thanks.

    In which aspect?
If they're reffering to final output quality,
    that's bull!

DV requires the best you can give it.
    That means manual work.

Favc is a good all in one to start with.

  3. 45, not sure what you mean - are you a user of this product or just in general don't "believe in" all-in-one converters for DV?

No matter what source material, allinones will never outshine individual tool.
    This

will never be better than this

if you know how to use them.

tmh - i agree convertx works well on thing like divx to dvd, but when i tried it on some DVavi from a cam it just sucked. motion blurred just about anything moving faster than a snail. if it has to be an all-in-one for you i got much better results from cyberlink's powerdirector which has an excellent encoder included.
