I have a problem with playing Widescreen VCDs on my Scott 838 DVD Player. I got some VCDs here that are supposed to be widescreen, when played on my computer they are (I think letterboxed is the term if they got the black stripes on top and bottom?) Anway, but on the TV they are fullscreen, looking a little "squished" together and not as it should. Strange thing is that another widescreen SVCD from the same encoder works just fine as widescreen. Just the normal VCDs don't.
Just in case anyone knows them, the VCDs in question are the Widescreen Buffy VCDs encoded by Muffle.
Are there some setting I have to change on the dvd player or is the TV the problem (its a new, rather expensive Grundig TV) ?
ANy help would be apreciated.

EDIT: uh..ignore me lol ... I figured out how to set the display of my tv to 16:9 and now it works just fine..
