i think nearly everbody knows the "volume-problem" in divx movies...
sound effects are much louder in relation to the spoken. this is very nasty because if i watch a film at night i always have to change the volume very often.
is there a program or a plugin for tmpgenc which can handel with this?
i tried normalizing (90%) with tmpgenc but no effect.
hope you can help me...
thank you in advance

What "volume-problem" ?
Sometimes you need to save the Audio and clean it up and normalize with other programs. Occasionally I have had some DivXfiles with audio up and down. I load the AVI into www.goldwave.com (Its rips out the audio) then normalize and save as WAV, then use that with TMPGenc
Goldwave can also be used to clean up and normalize MP3's that way your hi fi keeps at the same level. -
what i mean is that the sound effects and the music in divx films are much louder than the words spoken by actors. (sorry my english is not the best)
is this a effect of ripping?? (dts, dolby surround??)
i tried normalizing with tmpgenc but no effect. virtualdub can also do the job, i guess. because then i needn't download the goldwave software you suggested. -
Goldwave will do a better job

Most recordings have no problems, some televisions will compensate with a AGC circuit.
