  1. I have a dvd that I want to share with friends on the net from my school days. I have converted to AVI from the DVD. Now as places like Youtube etc only allow a 100mb file upload limit how can I cut this 1gb file into ten 100mb files so that I can upload individually?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards

    I would instead shrink it to a 100MB AVI Xvid using AutoGK. Or if it's above the 10min youtube limit you need to split it, you can use virtualdub to manually cut it.

  5. VirtualDubMod or VirtualDub:

    1) File -> Open AVI
    2) Video -> Direct Stream Copy
    3) File -> Save Semented AVI, set segment size

    Simple file splitters like HJSplit won't work for YouTube.
