hey there folks need a better understanding on how to get around these pesky zero cells. im trying to extract a dvd with MTR, i already went ahead and disabled the size file scan and i choose to extract only the main feature, however once it gets to VTS_01_1.VOB file the program just stops, the dvd reader then goes threw trying to re read the disc over and over again. and practically its going no where with time rarely fluctuating, is this because the file is bigger then 4.37 GB? in any cases i figure i must do this in order to use dtox to check for the zero cells, so please if anyone can help that be great

that is essentially correct.
Since you didn't mention the Movie/Disc Title,
I will say anything made to Commercial Disc in the
last year or so, requires the newer MTR you have to pay for.
Maybe the last 2 years, come to think about it.

Success is only relative to the outcome.
I can't speak on handbrake, because other tools IMHO
do the job better than it attempts to. *shrugs*

this one says how to do it with 2.6.6 -
oh, that old thread.
yes, follow Lawnman's and my steps as listed.
if they do not work, then the disc's copy protection
is too new for MTR 2.66, and has to be solved with
the newer MTR 3.0."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

bummer, well i aint got cash to spare so looks like im going to have to wait it out till the new version is free
-
ROTFL!!!!!!!!!!!
By that time, the movie you want will have played on regular local TV
20 times over and if you [can afford] a VRD* by then you can tape it
for use.
GB, creator of MTR has to EAT.
What makes you think with rising costs on everyday goods and services
he would make the new version FREE?
and before you say "well MTR 2.66 was free", don't you think he
saw the millions of people who downloaded that, and realized
he might have made a mistake doing so?
People better wake up...Nothing stays FREE, esp.when you have to EAT.
*VRD=Video Recording device. VCR then, DVR and DVDR now, future..

well i understand that, i know its going to be a very long time before he releases the 3.0 for free but im in no rsh to get these movies done; i know he's got to eat but i really doubt thats his only job is working on one program.
