Hi - sorry if this has been asked before, I've had a look around the site and couldn't get an answer. I've been looking at hd-dvds on playusa.com and they are marked as Region 1 only. But I was sure that I had read that all HD discs so far are region free? If this isn't true, does anyone know if the XBox 360 drive (that I am running through my pc) is multi region or region-hackable?
thanks
frank

well this is not really the site you want. To find all of the answers you are looking for, check out the forums and guides over at

You are correct, HD-DVD's are currently region free.

HD-DVDs are region free deliberately to help the format (potentially) defeat BluRay. Toshiba execs are very fond of saying that HD-DVDs you buy anywhere in the world will work anywhere in the world.
