If Baldrick needs help moderating his forums I'm sure he will ask someone to help him. This is hardly somthing that a poll should be conducted over. I feel a moderator of a (s)vcd forum should have a basic knowledge of how to author such formats. From your recent posts I personally feel that your knowledge regarding these formats is extremely limited.

In short, if you have to ask then no, you should not be a moderator

well authoring svcds

I havent really attempted "authoring" them

I do know tons of answers to problems and encoding solutions regarding vcd and svcd formats

I know tons of capturing and learning as we speak of dvd ripping

I know nothing of dvd encodin\authoring

IT's just, when im bored, i go on vcdhelp and just start answering everyone's post.

Its like i am the "answerer" who is just at a low level position on vcdhelp

Off the top of my head I could think of at least 50 people who post on this board who are at least as qualified as you to moderate this forum. I would hate to see 50 different polls on this subject. If Baldrick needs any help moderating I'm sure he will bring it up. If your only motive for answering people's posts is to gain some level of status on this forum then you are probably in the wrong place. A moderator is not a status position, they simply edit, move, and close threads when necessary.

For the first Part Adam is correct about this if Baldrick needs more hlp he will ask for help on which person he thinks is very helpful and a moderator is not a positon but a job... and the last comment by Kdiddy it is true you actually made an attempt to sell a template on this forum.and i think this is against th rules of this forum..

I for one enjoy most of your posts and your wesite. However, I too am one of many who floats around offering support to newbies as folks were kind enough to do for me when I was a newbie. If you really want recognition for it, you probably want a moderatorship for the wrong reasons. I have helped literally hundreds of people and it is worth it just to get the email that they have 'finally' succeeded in doing what they wanted. Go for that joy man! That is where it is at.

on your poll you forgot "hell no". Only because just within this posting I saw how well of a moderator you would be and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want that nor would I want to be a mod under you. Get a life. Part of being a moderator is being fair and judging things fairly as well as trying to give good helpful advice. I've seen guys like you on other forums and on irc and you end up being the a-hole that causes everyone to leave and complain.

Yup, i think Shizzzon should be a moderator for the fact he has helped me on many issues involving svcd. Evertyime i ask him a question he always has time to answer them and explain them too if i become totally clueless on the matter. I feel that i learned from my own experience (trial and errors) as well as Shizzzon advice.......c-ya!!!!

Does anyone want to be Op-ed on my site, mod-ed, or be temp controller while im not at home which half the time i am not.

I have not had my website up for a while, but i am thinking about opening it up and just having the vcdhelp user help page part of it work.

It's got right now a chatroom instead of a forum so people can answer each others questions live.

I'm also working on a forum maybe, since my email gets WAY to flooded with questions per day.

Dont worry, it looks nothing like vcdhelp page, i made it entirely myself and i am not copying anything.

I just need ops for chatroom and mods for a future forum maybe

OK, what is the point?
What will "Moderator" status give you that you want so much? All you get to do is fiddle with threads ("lock" option etc). The fact that you made this poll just indicates that it is more for an ego boost than anything else. You help people, big deal, that is the very point of the forum. Moderators just have extra features and do what the name says, Ie. to help 'moderate' the forum. Helping people out in a forum does not automatically mean that you should be given moderator status. Instead of trying to get moderator status to improve your credibility, why not actually prove that you are a "video performance master" by acting like one. I have read some of your posts and you are certainly far from being what you claim: Especially after your VCD-X debacle (or whatever "new format" that you claimed to have "invented" and tried to charge people $5 for a template with).
Is having a red member status, having an option to lock/move threads and viewing posters IP's really so important?

BTW, some friendly advice - Sort out your sites security, it absolutely stinks. Even a clueless script kiddie wouldnt have trouble hacking in.

you consider 20 e-mails a day WAY to flooded? or didn't you think someone would notice your previous post? Cus if you think 20 e-mails a day is flooded, then you really don't wanna be a mod.
