Menu buttons not working in standalone players

I added a button to an existing DVD menu and also created another menu which the new button linked to, but the highlighting won't show up on some standalone DVD players. The menus that I didn't touch showed the highlighting, but not the edited/new ones. The buttons work fine if I just press the up and down buttons on the remote and select it blindly, I just can't see the highlighting. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I used PGCedit to re-import the color scheme for the menu from the original. Do I need to add some commands to the menu PGC or something?

Also, when I look at the menu in DVDSubEdit, there's a delay time in the edited menu and the duration is fixed instead of infinite. The original didn't have a delay and the duration is infinite. Can this be a problem? And how can I fix it?
