I'm capturing with AV_IO with no problem, converting to MPEG1 with TMPGenc, and burning to VCD with NERO without a problem, but I have a question...I end up with between 10-15 separate MPG files (for a 2hr movie) that I burn onto the VCD, and even if I set the delay to "0" on Nero, there's still a second or two freeze frame in the video before the next file plays. Any way around this momentary pause? Do I have to join the MPG files into one LONG file to eliminate the pause? If so, how do I do this?

  2. You're almost there, you just need a little help.

Download a program called VirtualDub. It's free, and you can get it from the links on the left. When AVI_IO captures a file, it makes a bunch of smaller sections of the movie. When you open the first file in VirtualDub, it will put all the pieces together into one large movie.

Now Frameserve the movie to TMPGEnc. You can get information on that on the left side, or search the forums... it's really not that difficult. Frameserving will send the movie (as one entire chunk) to TMPGEnc, so that TMPGEnc will encode it as one big VCD MPG file.

Now burn that with Nero. Just remember, when you're in VirtualDub, make sure the movie isn't over, say, 79 minutes 30 seconds, or it's not going to fit on the disc unless you have a burner that'll support more.

    Good luck!
