I have the DVP S635 and spent a month making many a coaster and heard that I was wasting my time with sony. But further research uncovered Princo brand cds and have not looked back since. My player plays all vcds, svcds and xscvds that I have burnt, and the Princo cds are only cdr's, so track them down and happy converting!!

  4. I Have either the SONY DVP-S705 or 650 or something, but I have no problem playing vcd's on cdrw's.......any brand. Also, NO brand of CDR works in my SONY. Maybe that helps, maybe not.
