There's no such thing as "cheap good quality"

For DL there is only Verbatim DVD+R DL - where to get them depends on where you're located. I've purchased them from a local Best Buy as well as MeritLine on-line.

It would help if you'd mentioned where you live

For Verbatim +DL and regular DVD media, take a look at these three:

    http://www.rima.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv

    http://www.supermediastore.com

    http://www.meritline.com

BTW, you don't want -DL media.

DL has a very high failure rate unless you use a good disc. Verbatim +DL is the only one at present that has a very high success rate. Not worth saving a few pennies if you have to throw a failed disc in the trash.

Office Max has 10 packs for $15.

Now what is the brand everyone in this thread has said to buy ??

    Officemax, $14.99 for a 10 pack.

Besides being "The Best" DL media, they are prob. now the cheapest!!

FWIW I picked up a pack of Memorex DL disks a couple of months back and had nothing but trouble with them in my LG H22L drive. Of the 15 disks in the pack, only 3 were recognized as recordable media. I got rid of the Memorex and picked up a pack of Verbatim DL and they worked perfectly.

I got a pack of Verbatim +DL and what is the best way to burn to them? I usually use DVDDecrypter for all my burning, is this good for DL?

The 'updated' version of Decrypter is ImgBurn. It does very well at burning DL and other types of discs, especially handling the layer break in a DL disc. But it doesn't decrypt, so you may still want to keep Decrypter around for that and other uses.

I just want to say that in a pinch, I've had good luck with
HP DVD+R DL discs that they sell in Walmart for 3 for $11.
But, if you got the time, and aren't in a rush, get the Verbatim discs
    by ALL MEANS.

If you have the time and not in a rush
If you have the time to go to Walmart and pay $3.66 a disc for HP DL one would surely have the time to go to officemax and buy Verbatim DL for $2.00 a disc

Might as well get the 3 packs they have for $5.99. It's $2 per disc just like the 10 packs, but you get a full sized jewel case for each one.

If you get them shipped though, it's a different matter. Unless you get more then $50 worth. Which would then even it out for the two, since shipping is free for orders over $50.

Don't count on that, its a 26 mile round trip for me to go to Walmart, 300mile round trip to Officemax!

Actually I could probably find an Officemax closer, maybe a 150mile round trip but that would be the closest I'm pretty sure and not even certain if one in that town but it's fairly big so maybe.

I living in the boonies off in the woods is nice for some things, but NOT for shopping or highspeed internet that's for sure!!

I found that Fugi-Film DVD+R, DL's worked fine with my Plextor 760A drive. Verbatim is the brand of first choice, but if unavailable, the above works well.
