Hi
I'm based in the UK, but I need to buy an NTSC VHS/DVD combi recorder to archive my NTSC VHS tape collection onto DVD. I don't need any tuning capabilities, etc. Just a great combi unit that will do the job and give maximum picture quality.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Rob

If they are commercial tapes, you will need a TBC to remove the MV. In which case you will need a seperate player and recorder.

Panasonic combos will allow you to have hardware processors like TBC's, color correctors, etc. between the VHS player and dvd recorder side. I have tested this with the DMR-ES30V, ES35V, and the new EZ37VK. It is not as convenient as having separates however.
Other brands like LG do not allow it to happen.
