Hi all - I have been encoding my ripped dvd collection to various mpeg-4 codecs and have come across a small problem. I have successfully done this with about 20 dvds. My problem is that 2 dvds (Anchorman and Some like it Hot) always yield encodes where the audio is ~500-750 ms off. I've encoded these using AutoGK, Staxrip and nero recode2. Nero recode2 actually produced a good encode of anchorman but not some like it hot. Anyone here have any idea what could cause this behavior? Or if not that, anyone know how I can demux and remux with an audio offset with out reencoding? Any help will be appreciated.
Matt

You can use Virtualdubmod or AVIDemux to shift audio without re-encoding if you are using Divx/Xvid inside an AVI container.
For Virtualdubmod : load the video, click on Streams -> Stream List. Right-click on the audio track and select Interleave. Change the offset in the bottom section, and then click OK. Save the new version of the video with both video and audio set to direct stream copy.Read my blog here.
