I have decided to give Linux a good trial run and I have found alternatives to all the programs I regularly use except one: AVIRecomp.
For those who don't know, AVIRecomp simply takes a standalone-incompatible Divx/Xvid file and re-encodes it using the original bitrate/dimensions/audio etc, and produces one that's compatible with standalone players.
I am looking for something as easy to use as AVIRecomp for Linux, but have so far drawn a blank. (im far to lazy to re-encode AVI files "manually" :P)
