I have been trying to use DVD Decrypter and TMPGEnc Express to convert some of my DVD's to XVID (AVI) so that I can store them on my HTPC.

The problem is that DVD Decrypter is only decrypting 46 minutes of the dvd. I have tried more than one disc and it does it on each occasion. Never more then 46 minutes.

So can anyone help me with this issue? Or do you recommend something else? All I want is good quality XVID AVI's to put on my HTPC so I don't have to keep getting my DVD's out every time I want to watch something.

I want something that isn't going to be a pain. I have a good guide to DVD Decrypter and TMPGEnc Express 3 which is why I have been trying to use that.

What type of file system are you using? With Fat32 and Fat16, there is a maximum file size limit which is insufficient for a full DVD size image file. NTFS doesn't have a file size problem (2 TB max file size)

    More info here http://www.ntfs.com/ntfs_vs_fat.htm

I use NTFS on all drives.

I'll try DVDFab Decrypter when I get home. What does that output the file to?

Okay I tried ripping the DVD using DVDFab Decrypter and then went to convert it to XVID using TMPGEnc Express 4 but for some reason TMPGEnc comes up with an error on one of the vobs saying that it can only add the audio from that one. It then leaves that vob file out but puts the rest in.

    This has me puzzled.
